Audiology Awareness Month

October is National Audiology Awareness Month with an emphasis on increasing awareness of audiology and hearing protection.

With an on-site audiologist, Dr. Katie Isbell, CCHAT is able to provide several services to students both on and off campus.

In addition to troubleshooting and programming hearing aids and implants for CCHAT students, Katie also provides newborn hearing screenings and diagnostic services for children from birth to high school. In the mainstream, Katie helps setup and troubleshoot HAT/FM systems, ensuring students in districts receive the best listening experience.

Katie is also quick to share her knowledge in the field, as she frequently participates in local audiology discussions and presentations. On Tuesday, Katie is scheduled to speak to audiology students at Sacramento State and provide insight that will help them on their future path.
