Some Good News
CCHAT's youngest student, 15-month-old EMERSYN takes part in our Baby & Me Program. Her family moved to the area for CCHAT, and Emersyn is now enjoying music and verbalizing words.
A bout with cancer at 9 months old caused ASHER to lose his hearing. Thanks to his hearing aids and CCHAT support, he is speaking sentences, imitating sounds and bringing joy to all.
SUMAYA joined CCHAT at 8 months old. Now 4, her advanced listening and spoken language skills allow her to split time between CCHAT and a mainstream classroom alongside hearing peers.
Utilizing a bone-anchored hearing aid (BAHA), MICHAEL continues to make incredible gains in his vocabulary and academics thanks to his enthusiastic and inquisitive nature.
Equipped with bilateral cochlear implants, NIKOLE was once shy and quiet. She is now noted for her loud and proud voice, and she fills up rooms with her laughter and language.
Thanks to her hard work in daily speech therapy, ACACIA has increased her independence, sound production and vocabulary, and in turn, she is more confident when holding conversations.
Brothers OWEN and HOUSTON began attending CCHAT in April. They travel more than 150 miles every day, and both have made marked strides in their auditory skills and verbal communication.
Once living in India, SAI moved locally and started in CCHAT's Preschool class with low language and listening skills. Now 7, she is talkative and continues to progress toward mainstreaming.
This time of year is a celebration of togetherness, love and the joy of giving. At CCHAT, we have witnessed incredible growth and achievements from our students, who continue to inspire us with their resilience and enthusiasm. As we look ahead to 2025, we are filled with hope and excitement. Thank you for being a vital part of our journey.
