Summer Camp CIT Volunteer Positions Available!

Consider joining us July 8-26 as a Counselor in Training (CIT) at the CCHAT Center for Rancho Cordova residents 13-18 years old. It is a great volunteer position helping a child with hearing loss learn to listen and talk during their annual summer camp experience.

Workforce Development and Leadership Training Opportunity and Earn Community Service Hours

The counselor-in-training (CIT) program is designed for teens who want to further develop their leadership and communication skills as well as gain experience in the planning, instructing and supervision of activities for young children. CITs will acquire critical skills, interact with children of diverse backgrounds and learn professional behaviors. They will gain valuable skills working closely with teachers of the deaf, audiologists, speech therapists, children and families, to reduce each child’s learning deficit and help prepare students for the next academic school year. CITs work closely with teachers engaging students during a rotating schedule of music, art, math/science and language/story/dramatic play each day of the summer camp.
