Jamie Funamura, MD

When I joined the UC Davis pediatric otolaryngology faculty in 2016, one of my goals was to grow our hearing and speech services for children in the greater Sacramento and Central California area. I grew up in this area, and I wanted to make sure local families had access to cutting-edge medical communication services. One of the greatest "discoveries" for me has been learning about the educational side. I was first introduced to CCHAT by patient families and have been a delighted learner, supporter, and collaborator ever since. Our pediatric team at UC Davis is incredibly lucky to be a part of patients' journeys, and watching our kids and families become a part of the larger CCHAT community is truly rewarding.
