CCHAT Travels Back to the 70s to Celebrate its Life-Changing Program
CCHAT and nearly 300 of its closest friends gathered on March 8th for the 13th annual CCHAT Uncorked fundraiser, presented by Lund Construction and Sierra Health Foundation. This fundraiser, designed to generate vital funds for the sustainability of CCHAT’s life-changing program, proved to be a groovy, successful evening that lit up the program’s community.
1970s Theme a Huge Hit
Each year, CCHAT chooses a theme for CCHAT Uncorked, and it is safe to say the 1970s theme was a smashing success. The stylish, retro decor came to life with the creativity of event guests, who showed off their favorite aspects of the 70s – disco, hippie, big hair, loud colors, tall boots, headbands, sunglasses, among many others. The throwback theme definitely created a buzz and overall joyous feeling inside the Dante Event Center.
Tasty Drinks and Delicious Delights
Guests were treated to a record number of drink vendors, with 11 of the best local wineries and breweries filling glasses for patrons. With Randy Peters Catering again delivering the delicious bites and a variety of eye-catching desserts available for auction, there was no shortage of fantastic food to keep everyone happy.
Inspiring Stories: Honoring CCHAT Alumni and Influential Figures
A staple of CCHAT Uncorked are the heartfelt speeches delivered by ambassadors and award recipients. This year, CCHAT alumni student Keira McEvilly brought the crowd to their feet with a touching tribute to the impact CCHAT has had on her life. Keira attended CCHAT until age 4, and now 12, she was able to eloquently express that she has no limits on her future because of the foundation she built in the program.
Long-time Board Member Jeanie Simpson was honored as the CCHAT Volunteer of the Year. As an alumni grandparent, Jeanie has spent countless hours sharing the power of CCHAT throughout the community. Thomas B. Mackey was posthumously recognized as the CCHAT Champion. His grandson, Nick, who attended CCHAT, as well as his son, TJ, accepted the award on his behalf and spoke to how CCHAT has touched their lives and the life of Thomas.
A Record-Breaking Fundraising Success: How We Raised $137,800
As CCHAT friends, supporters, staff and families showed their love for the program throughout the night via the auctions, raffle and Fund a Future, the fundraising total continued to climb. A record number of sponsors helped set up the event for success and generous guests followed suit. When the dust had settled from an action-packed event, CCHAT reached a fantastic total of $137,800 raised at CCHAT Uncorked 2025.
